Missing Something?

If you’re the type of person who never misplaces anything, I’m happy for you. No one in my house qualifies for such an impressive accomplishment. Cellphones, car keys, wedding rings, and sunglasses disappear without a trace at an alarming rate. We eventually find the missing object but never recover the time spent looking for it. For example, I snapped this picture back in the summer and couldn’t locate it on my computer until the other day. Yes, my filing system needs a major overhaul, but I’m too busy searching for my checkbook right now.

In case you’re wondering about the picture, the morning sun lit up my yard like a dozen spotlights searching across a stage for the show’s star. I raced outside to verify the yellow spots on the grass weren’t my imagination. FYI, neither is my missing checkbook. I’ll find it sometime next week in the most unlikely part of the house.

What items have you temporarily misplaced?
