Saucy Subject

With Thanksgiving only a few days away, you probably can’t wait to eat smoked ham and roasted turkey. But what about the side dishes adding to their flavor and holiday spirit? Most folks like potatoes, green beans, and dressing. But cranberry sauce can be a polarizing subject—the equivalent of talking politics at the dinner table. People either love it or leave it alone. While canned cranberry sauce is handy, homemade is a treat. I make it tart with a citrus twist, throw in a cup of walnuts, and add just enough sweetness to bring out the best in every item on your plate. So tell me, is cranberry sauce receiving an invitation to your Thanksgiving meal?
