Slipping and Sliding

This chilly Southern-Fried Friday is the perfect day to show you a picture from last summer’s harrowing trip into the deep, dark corners of my garage. As you may recall, I found a few treasures and lots of trash in that southern living history museum originally built to house our cars. One of the more memorable discoveries was the family sled. With arctic air freezing a good portion of the south this week, I thought of the sled and all the fun times we had slipping and sliding on snow and ice years ago as kids. No cares, no fears, no brakes. Gosh, those days were awesome.

What winter activities did you enjoy as a kid? How about now with your kids or grandchildren?
