Over the years, I’ve eaten everything from cold pizza to fish tacos for breakfast, but I draw the line at chicken and dumplings poured over pancakes. No kidding, folks, the lady at the next table ordered a stack of pancakes and a bowl of chicken and dumplings for brunch at a restaurant remaining anonymous. When the items were served, she poured one over the other and split the mess with her friend. I just about lost my eggs and bacon watching them eat. Personally, I prefer maple syrup over my pancakes, and I don’t mind a sprinkling of fruit, but please hold the chicken for another meal.
